Jeremy Brown has always loved to draw.
Some of his earliest influences were cartoons, especially Bugs Bunny and other Looney Tunes characters. But now that he is a sophomore at the University of Louisville, his subjects are of a more mature nature. Most of Brown’s work is inspired by life on campus or images culled from his research online.
“I am primarily a sketching artist,” Brown says. “I mostly use pen, pencil, and colored pencils. I have also used Adobe programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. As far as style goes, I would say I go for a realistic feel, but I still incorporate cartoonish elements.”
Originally from Georgia, Brown’s family moved to Kentucky and he graduated from North Hardin High School in Radcliff. He is attending the University of Louisville on a Woodford R. Porter Scholarship and is working on a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with a concentration in Communication Design. He also hopes to begin exhibiting his work in the near future.
