Cartoons and animation are often seen as lower class, yet how many artists were inspired as children by the work of master comic artist Jack Kirby or Looney Tunes and Disney cartoons? How many kids (and adults) are influenced now by anime and the rise of graphic novels in recent years? Jeremy Brown has maintained that relationship into his own work as an adult artist. “I am still a huge fan of cartoons,” he explains. “They help me to connect with my imagination and remind me of my youth.”

“At this point, I don’t want to feel pressure to create art. I just want to have fun and continue to learn more through other artists and experimentation in general. Art is supposed to be fun, and I want to keep it that way for myself.”

Brown graduated from North Hardin in Radcliff, KY, and is a student at the University of Louisville, where he is working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with Sport Administration Minor.
