Describe your perfect Sunday afternoon.
Lunch at Bluedog Bakery (if it were open on Sundays), hiking with family in the park, and ending it with a good session in the studio.
Who is your favorite local artist?
There are so many whose work I admire that it would be impossible to label one as a "favorite".
Where would you like to see Louisville 10 years from now?
In a Blue State.
What neighborhood do you live in? What are some of your favorite things about it?
We live in Crescent Hill, and we love that we can walk to parks, bookstores, the library (my favorite), coffee shops, and a variety of great dining options (Red Hog, a new favorite)
What advice would you give your past self if you could?
Trust yourself.
Gibbs Rounsavall has a 2D solo exhibition of new paintings at Hyland Glass, Thursday, May 4th from 7-9p for the opening reception! Exhibition runs May 4th-August 1, 2017.

Open Doors Feature: Eisenhower Elementary "Water Tower - Form & Function"
We are having a wonderful time bringing "Water Tower - Form & Function" to Eisenhower Elementary, through a partnership between LVA and the Louisville Water Company made possible through Louisville Water Foundation. During this class, students broke into small groups to create their very own water tower design — taking what they've learned about the form and function of a water tower and making it their own. Next class, they will begin to build their water towers in small groups and will go on to paint and embellish them soon after! By the end of the residency, students will strengthen their critical thinking skills, learn new creative problem-solving techniques, and will work collaboratively towards a common goal. We can't wait to see what they create!
