Artists Talk with LVA: September 17, 2026

David Helm just opened Labyrinths at the Cressman Center, and he will join us to discuss it. Tune in to Artists Talk with LVA each Thursday at 10 am on 97.1 FM or Artxfm.com.

After graduating from the University of Louisville in Fine Arts/Graphic Design and Atlanta’s Portfolio Center in Art Direction, David [Jelly] Helm began his career as an art director for The Martin Agency in Richmond before being recruited by Wieden+Kennedy in 1992. In 2006, he became the Executive Creative Director of Wieden+Kennedy Portland, which Helm considers one of his most meaningful and humbling professional moments.

In 2008, Helm founded Studio Jelly, an independent brand studio built on long-term relationships with people and organizations he cares about. Clients range from global brands to nonprofits, arts organizations, conservation groups, and purpose-driven companies. The work is characterized by its honesty, craft, and humanity, using the creative process to help organizations become deeper, clearer, more fully themselves.

Labyrinths is on view at The Cressman Center for Visual Art through October 31st, 2026
