Brennen Cabrera was born December 4th, 1996 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is a mixed media painter, mainly self-taught with little to no formal education or training. His work has been exhibited around the Louisville, KY area, as well as parts of California, New York, and Chicago, IL. His one-person show, “Windows”, will be at Mellwood Art & Entertainment Center’s Pigment Gallery February 5-28.

Lance Newman II, was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He is a writer, poet, host, actor, performing, visual, and teaching artist. His experience is the culmination of a 16-year career performing around the country. As a playwright, he helped create plays such as the “Smoketown Poetry Opera,“ ”The Westend Poetry Opera” and “The Blood Always Returns.“ Under the name, SpreadLovEnterprise, he teaches his creative writing and public speaking curriculum in schools, community centers, and service-providing organizations. He co-hosts the largest and longest-running poetry slam in Louisville; created the public art “LITS Project” on 4th st; and has been featured in newspapers, commercials, and the feature film “Frathouse.” Better known as ‘Mr. SpreadLove,’ a local man of worldly talent.

Shannon Wooley Allison was a founding member of LFL in 2001. Shannon performs, directs, and teaches for LFL. She is proud to be a roster artist for the KY Arts Council, and a member of Alternate ROOTS, The Network of Ensemble Theatres, The Alliance for Theatre in Education, and The Theatre Alliance of Louisville.

She will give us an update on the Artist residencies and how Bernheim has adapted their programming in the time of the pandemic. Jenny Zeller was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.  Upon graduating from University of Kentucky in 1995, she moved to Key West, she has traveled far off the beaten track to places such as Haiti, Africa and Indonesia before returning home where she was named a 2014 Al Smith Fellowship Award recipient by the Kentucky Arts Council. From 2013 to 2015, Jenny held the position of Photographer, Artist in Residence at St. Francis School.  In 2017 she was awarded an Artist Professional Development Grant from the Great Meadows Foundation and a Regional Artist in Residence at Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest.

In July 2017, Jenny stepped into the role of Visual Arts Coordinator at Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest.

Jessica Wortham is an actor, a teacher, an audiobook narrator, a developer of new plays, and an Artist in Residence at Actors Theatre of Louisville for their Actors Theatre Direct season.

She has performed and studied internationally, traveled extensively both in the U.S. and abroad. She is about to appear in Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End, which will stream on Actors Theatre Direct January 8 - 28, and Romeo & Juliet which will arrive in February 2021, also on Actors Theatre Direct.

Director of Early Childhood Education at the Jewish Community Center of Louisville, Artistic Director at SC Theatre and New Albany Riverstage Productions.

Jack Sutherlin is a musician, singer, songwriter, and scriptwriter currently living in NYC but originally from Sellersburg, IN.
