Doomscroll: A Group Art Show About Resistance, Grief & Resilience. will run through May 3rd at Grady Goods + Artpunk Gallery.

Doomscroll invited artists to create artwork that critiques, examines, and uses visual symbols to convey messages and inspire action. To shine a light on current events, politics, and/or to advocate for a specific cause. Artistic reactions to the American condition and current political climate.

KMAC Couture is on March 28th, and this week, Malcolm Fife, Louis Taylor-Barks, & Jacob Grant will join us in the studio. Tune into Artists Talk with LVA on WXOX 97.1 FM at 10 AM.

Malcolm Fife is a Kentucky resident who recently graduated (2022) with a BFA in Printmaking and Painting from Murray State University. He has shown work in Bowling Green, Lexington, Evansville, and Henderson. He is a member of ArtWorks Bowling Green, Murray Art Guild, Lexington Art League, Henderson Society of Art, and Ohio Valley Art League. He currently works at Hadley Pottery.

Louis Taylor-Banks is a retired Navy veteran who describes himself as “kind of a maker”.

Jacob Grant is Artist & Curator @revelrygallery. He earned a BA in Art History + Philosophy from the University of Louisville and is a candidate for an MA in Critical & Curatorial Studies from the Hite Institute of Art + Design at U of L.

Aurora Noctua is a Kentucky native and local Louisville artist, writer, and designer. Her favorite medium is traditional pen and ink, coupled with mixed media techniques. Her hobbies are martial arts, video games, biking, hiking, writing, playing violin, and running the occasional Dungeons and Dragons campaign

"Sanctum" a solo art show by Alexandra Rumsey is at Grady Goods, 620 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY, through October 15.

Alexandra Rumsey's 4th Solo Show "Sanctum" is an interactive, holistic, installation experience that confronts the issue of the ethical treatment of wild animals. "Sanctum" hopes to honor these deceased and historically sacred animals through a spiritual lens. A portion of the profits of the sellable works will be donated to Kentucky SPCA. (Kentucky Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
